There are two must-haves when it comes to equestrian accessories, in my opinion, and these are as follows:
Horse Rug
These are often expensive or overpriced, but they dont have to be. You can buy cheap horse rugs that are just as good quality as the budget-busting brand name ones. The horse rug is designed to shelter your horse (or pony) from bad weather. There are multiple kinds of cheap horse rugs, including: stable rugs, turnout rugs, exercise sheets, and to fend away annoying flies, there are fly sheets.
Horse rugs come in all different sizes and colors. To make sure you buy the right size for your horse, measure from the middle of your horses chest across the shoulder, all the way down to the horses tail (around the middle of it). Deduct four inches if buying a turnout rug, and seven inches if youre opting for a stable rug. Horse rugs are comfortable for the horse to wear, they usually have a cotton lining, and the stable rugs are insulated to keep the animal warm.
Ladies Jodhpurs
If the horse is going to look good, then the rider might as well make an effort too. Ladies jodhpurs are a fashionable, tight-fitting, trouser generally used when riding horses. They are made of durable fabric and often come in the colors white or beige.
Not only do that look trendy but they offer some handy benefits when it comes to riding. The horse riding ladies jodhpurs have leather patches stitched into the backs of the knees. This helps the rider stick to the saddle. The jodhpur tapers tightly around the ankle and is designed to be worn with jodhpur boots or long riding boots.
You dont have to wear jodhpurs just for riding horses, though. They look good in everyday environments, too. A lot of big fashion labels, like Ralph Lauren, have begun incorporating equestrian-wear into their clothing lines.
